As a rule, such pillows are oblong or U-shaped so that the product can be hugged by arms and legs. An integral attribute of dakimakura pillows is prints with characters from anime, popular video games, manga, TV series, hentai girls or neutral animals. The reference size for dakimakura products is 150 cm long and about 45 cm wide, but there are also larger pillows. Such dimensions are due to the fact that most girls in anime and manga are miniature. Hug pillows are used both for sleeping and as decorative elements of interior decoration.
