In the case of kids' furniture, different objects can be called chairs — from the simplest models, made entirely of wood or plastic, to advanced designs that differ from armchairs (see the relevant paragraph) only in name. However, anyway, for prolonged sitting, a chair is preferable to a stool — back support not only provides comfort, but also reduces the risk of posture problems.
