MIDI keyboards with octave shift
— the presence of an octave shift function in the keyboard.
This function allows you to shift the sound one or more octaves up or down. One of its uses is to expand the working range: by applying octave shift, you can play low or high notes that are not initially covered by the keyboard. In addition, this function can also be used for reasons of general convenience — to play a melody in a different octave on the same keys, with the usual arrangement of controls at hand.
