— fully built-in dishwashers are those in which the control panel is hidden inside the door when it is closed. This gives them a neat appearance (usually without handle, see "Opening without handle") and makes the control panel less susceptible to dirt. However, accessing the controls requires opening the device, which can be inconvenient if the program needs to be changed during operation. Additionally, the indicators are also hidden inside, which can be partially mitigated by the "beam on the floor" system (see the relevant paragraph), though not all models have this feature.
