Clinker tiles

 

— a type of ceramic, the main feature of which is the production by extrusion (pushing through a certain shape). Thanks to this procedure, it is possible to obtain not only classic rectangular tiles, but also products of a rather complex shape; in particular, gutters, corners, plinths, etc. are often made of clinker. In addition, this material is made using single firing technology (for more details, see "ceramic (tile)"), which is carried out at higher temperatures than conventional ceramics . Due to this, in terms of operational properties, clinker comes close to porcelain stoneware: in particular, it is durable, resistant to abrasion and aggressive substances, and also does not absorb moisture and perfectly resists temperature extremes.
