Usually, the range is from fractions of a second to tens of seconds or minutes; for electronics, minimal values are chosen, for compressors and pumps — larger ones. Compared to "instantaneous" relays, models with adjustable disconnection time offer more control and less downtime but require proper setup along with thresholds and reconnection delay. Example: a refrigerator or heat pump endures a short surge, and in case of prolonged deviation, the relay safely disconnects the load and logs the event.
