Blackview Active 5 128 GB
![]() |
A rugged tablet in the entry-level price range, designed for operation in harsh conditions. The certifications IP68 and IP69K simultaneously are rare even among rugged devices: IP68 guarantees immersion depth, while IP69K adds resistance to high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. The MIL-STD-810H standard confirms resilience to drops, extreme temperatures from -20 °C to +60 °C, and vibrations.
The screen is protected by Panda MN228 glass, and the glove mode expands usability on construction sites and in fieldwork. Performance is provided by the Unisoc T615 with 8 GB of RAM — scoring about 307,000 points in AnTuTu, which aligns with the lower price segment and is sufficient for work applications, navigation, and video communication, but not for resource-demanding games.
The Blackview Active 5 tablet stands out among competitors with its cameras: a 16 MP main and 13 MP front — unusually serious equipment for rugged devices in its class, with the front camera useful for quality video calls. It features NFC — a rare function in the rugged tablet segment and useful for reading tags and documents in professional scenarios. A stylus is included. The 6600 mAh battery with 18W charging provides a day's worth of work. The TÜV Rheinland certificate reduces eye strain. The mini-jack is present, and GPS supports GLONASS and Galileo.

I got it as a backup phone-tablet, it feels like a tablet from 2015, but only with a modern processor, everything else is from those times. Overall, for 150 EUR it could be okay, but not more expensive. modern fast processor, fingerprint scanner on the power button (but works 4/5), nfc, gps the body material is closer to plastic than to rubberized plastic, the ports under the covers are not of the best quality and won't last long, it's not very comfortable to hold, the camera is terrible, the screen is not very high-quality, and the film that's applied from the factory gets scratched very easily. The stylus that came in the package had some sort of grit on it; after using it on the screen a couple of times for testing, it left scratches all over (see photo). |
