Model overview based on user reviews
The Ryobi RRT1600-K router is a versatile tool ideal for DIY enthusiasts, offering a powerful 1600 W motor with adjustable speeds ranging from 10,000 to 26,000 rpm and features like a soft start and fine height adjustment. It includes a comprehensive package with a set of 5 cutters, three collets, and useful accessories such as a guide rail and vacuum adapter. Despite its robust features, users have noted some design issues, particularly with the depth gauge-limiter not setting to "0" and difficulty in lowering the router with one hand due to jamming. The tool is well-suited for hobbyists looking for a reliable router without the cost of professional-grade machines, and it comes with a convenient carrying case for easy transport and storage.

Cons

good model, I liked it

The package is much richer than described. In addition to 2 collets for 6 and 8 mm (the 6 mm one is pre-installed), a fence with rods, a vacuum adapter, and a wrench with 5 cutters - additionally placed in the standard spots of the suitcase are: a) a copy sleeve on the base (screws in a small pouch) b) a compass tip on the fence rod c) a copy wheel on the fence d) spare brushes for the motor e) a pre-installed transparent shield on the base.
5. Crazy "chumadan".
1. The depth gauge-limiter does not set to "0".
2. Lowering with one hand is impossible - it jams.

Milling machine with good "minced meat"

The Ryobi RRT1600K router allows you to fully control the wood processing process and, therefore, ensure high quality of finished products. The fact is that it is not bad (by the standards of power tools for DIY) “stuffed” with electronics. In this device, it is responsible for adjusting the speed (they can be changed in the range of 10,000 - 26,000 rpm) and the smooth start of the 1600 W motor so as not to screw up the workpiece at the moment it is turned on. The router stroke is 55 mm (standard for hobby-class milling machines). To adjust the insertion depth of the cutter, you can use a turret stop, a limiter with a ruler or a micrometer screw. But due to some design features of the device, adjustment is sometimes problematic. We are talking about the depth fixer, which is rather flimsy and therefore does not hold the stop with the ruler well, and tight springs that force it to “lean heavily” on the router in order to press it against the work surface.

Pleasant and useful little things

The tool comes with a case. Useful accessories are attached to the router: a parallel guide, a sleeve for repeating the pattern and a branch pipe for connecting a household vacuum cleaner. In addition to them, there is a "starter" set of small cutters (5 pcs.). The set also includes three collets of different sizes. Thanks to their presence, you can use not only small bits (with 6 and 8 mm shanks), but also use large cutters (with 12 mm shanks), which provide more productive work.

An instrument with a good pedigree

Ryobi RRT1600K has a decent "stuffing" and an interesting bundle. It is a great fit for the first router for the carpenter who wants to buy a good tool for the home workshop, but is not ready to pay for professional machines. If you are confused by the relative obscurity of the brand, then you can relax: Ryobi is not a “outbred Chinese”. This brand is owned by the same corporation that manufactures products under the Milwaukee and AEG trademarks. That is, Ryobi routers are amateur versions of tools from a manufacturer who has eaten a dog on a professional tool.
