Technically, the automatic Sanitas SBC 22 blood pressure monitor is a certified medical device that measures systolic and diastolic pressure in a range up to 300 mm Hg using the oscillometric method on the wrist. The device's electronics not only record figures but also analyze pulse rhythm, displaying a special symbol on the screen if arrhythmia signs are detected, which is important for early diagnosis of heart disorders.

To increase data objectivity, there is a function for calculating the average value of the last three measurements, smoothing out random blood pressure spikes, and providing a more accurate picture of vascular condition.
