Stylish and relatively compact 23.6" curved FHD gaming monitor with 165Hz refresh rate, fast matrix response, improved colour gamut and increased static contrast ratio. Positioned as a 2020 mid-range product aimed at demanding gamers and aspiring esports players. The screen of the device has a curve with a radius of 1500 mm and a semi-gloss coating that effectively suppresses stray glare and reflections.
The AOC C24G2AE monitor is based on a high-quality 8-bit VA matrix with a resolution of 1920x1080 and Flicker-Free WLED backlighting. It demonstrates fast response (4ms GtG), increased static contrast ratio (3000:1) and a decent 120% sRGB colour gamut for the correct reproduction of subtle colour transitions. Support for AMD FreeSync Premium sync technology, coupled with low input lag (9ms) and an increased refresh rate, renders dynamic gaming scenes smoothly and clearly without artifacts and blurring. The monitor is equipped with a spectacular detachable stand with the ability to adjust the screen tilt and connects to sources using digital ports (2xHDMI 1.4 + DisplayPort 1.2) or analogue D-Sub interface.

A modern monitor that meets contemporary standards. Not for everyone, of course, due to the price they tried to fit the product into, but still. The monitor fully complies with the stated specifications, although I haven't tested the response time. Excellent brightness, no noticeable backlight bleed, and great anti-glare coating. I sit by a window and have no complaints. I have mixed feelings about the VA panel. It's my first experience with it. In some games, the image becomes much more appealing to me, while in others, I feel the need to adjust the color grading, and I can't always achieve what I want. The monitor offers a pleasing image right out of the box, and I think an average user won't need to bother with calibration too much, unless you're buying the monitor for professional work. And professionals can figure out for themselves what to buy and how to set it up without my review. I've typically used Adobe Gamma just to tweak the image and make black truly black on some monitors, for example. Here, nothing changed after working with the program; black is black from the factory :D In general, I believe this is the best I could get for the money. 165Hz is an incomparable pleasure in fast-paced games. And the curvature on a screen this size doesn't feel unusual or wrong. This is for those who, like me before the purchase, are wondering whether to get a curved monitor or if it's just an unnecessary feature that will interfere with gaming in CS. Well, it won't.
