The Aqara Motion Sensor P1 is a budget-friendly motion sensor from a well-known Chinese company. Introduced in 2023 for deploying a simple and reliable security system for private and commercial properties. It uses infrared detection technology with the option for detailed adjustment of sensitivity and sensor response time. An additional ambient light sensor allows you to set up light activation or other precautionary measures when an intrusion is detected.

The equipment is designed for indoor installation. The main unit is complemented by a mounting bracket with an adjustable tilt. The sensor mounts to a table, wall, or ceiling. The trigger range depends on the field of view: 150° up to 7 meters, 170° up to 2 meters. Communication with the central hub is carried out wirelessly via the Zigbee 3.0 protocol. One set of replacement batteries provides autonomy of about 5 years. The model allows you to integrate the security system into a smart home with IFTTT, HomeKit, Alexa, Matter, and Aqara Home.
