Plastic is stronger than metal
The Asus ROG GL502VM is another comparatively thin (2.3 cm) and light gaming laptop (2.2 kg). His involvement in gaming solutions is only betrayed by a bulge on the top metal cover, stylized as the hood of a sports car, and the inscription "Republic of Gamers". The Asus ROG GL502VM is built on an Intel Core i5-7300HQ processor with four physical cores (about one and a half times faster than four-thread analogs) and a 3 GB GeForce GTX 1060 discrete graphics card. Of course, a 6 GB version of this graphics card (it also differs for the better in the number of microcores - 1280 versus 1152) would look even better, but even on a three-gig card you can play all the new products with high graphics settings at a resolution of 1920x1080.
Upgrade difficulties
An IPS display, two drives (a fast SSD and a capacious HDD), pre-installed Windows 10 – a gentleman's set for a mid-range gaming laptop. You can only complain about the RAM: 8 GB is soldered directly on the motherboard, the same amount is installed in a single slot, which makes future upgrades more difficult (you will have to change the 8 GB module to 16 GB, in total you get 24 GB). Other than that, it's a great option for those who want the power of a mid-range gaming desktop PC in a thin, multimedia laptop, and with a massive 6-hour battery.
