A family of high-end gaming laptops from Asus with flagship Intel Raptor Lake generation processors and top-end NVIDIA Ada Lovelace graphics cards. They belong to the highest price segment, are part of the Asus ROG (Republic of Gamers) sub-series called Strix Scar, and are aimed primarily at wealthy gamers, e-sportsmen and enthusiasts. Despite the external similarity and the use of an identical chassis from conventional ROG models, Strix Scar laptops differ due to the use of more advanced hardware: a top-end Core i9 processor instead of Core i7, an RTX 4070 video card instead of a conditional RTX 3060, 64 GB of overclocked DDR5 memory and the list goes on.

To keep the temperature of powerful components under control, Asus engineers installed a serious cooling system with three fans and liquid metal as a thermal interface. In general, such a combination of hardware allows the owner of the ROG Strix G16 to look down on both game console owners and most PC gamers: the total power is enough to play at maximum speeds, there is support for ray tracing and DLSS 3.0, and the video card has a high TDP.

To underline the prestige of the series, Asus has equipped most laptop modifications with high-end 16-inch QHD screens with a refresh rate of 240Hz. With a high refresh rate and fast response time of just 3ms, the player can instantly react to what is happening in the game, even if the screen is filled with insane firefight during the assault on the enemy base in Battlefield 4.

The display supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats, has a built-in FreeSync / G frame synchronizer -Sync and fully complies with Pantone's color requirements. For a slightly more affordable alternative, Asus has released modifications to the ROG Strix G16 2023 G614JI with a slightly simpler Full HD screen, 144Hz refresh rate and 7ms response time. Otherwise, the characteristics of the displays are identical.

In addition to iron, representatives of this series stand out due to a number of features characteristic of ROG laptops. One of these elements is the presence of LEDs with Asus Aura Sync support, which are built right into the case. The keyboard is equipped with individual backlighting for each key, allowing users to personalize lighting effects according to their preferences. The built-in network card supports gigabit connectivity and works on Wi-Fi 6E networks. Fast charging in just 30 minutes can restore up to 50% of the battery charge.
