The well-known brand of professional styling devices BaByliss has in its assortment an expensive high-quality curling iron with a diameter of 25 mm, which can be used both at home and in salons to create medium-sized curls. There is a rather tight clip that holds even the thinnest strands, but the working surface is not too long, especially considering the clip handle, so winding very long and thick strands will be problematic.

But the model received a high-quality coating of titanium and tourmaline. It is wear-resistant, not prone to corrosion, including under the influence of hair styling compounds, and washes very well. In addition, tourmaline particles release negatively charged ions and reduce static charge on the hair, as a result of which they do not frizz or become electrified. The strands glide over such a surface and are easily removed without damaging the shape, and satisfied users note that the coating is really durable and does not get scratched even after several years of active use. Also, the curling iron is not heavy — your hands do not get tired if you do your hair yourself.

11 temperature settings

There are 11 temperature modes to choose from from 100 to 200 degrees in increments of 10 degrees: the thicker your hair, the higher the temperature should be. The curling iron heats up to maximum values in 60 seconds, but it also cools down for quite a long time — about 15 – 20 minutes. The selected temperature is shown on the display. But be careful: at first, accidental button presses are possible, and, unfortunately, there is no function to block them.

But there are many small pluses for convenience during work: a thermally insulated tip, automatic shutdown of the device after 60 minutes, a soft Soft Touch coating on the handle and a 2.7 m swivel cord, which will especially appeal to hairdressers. In addition, there is a retractable stand, but it is metal and gets very hot, so it can lead to accidental burns. Also, the kit does not include a glove and a thermal mat — but for such a price I would like to.
