Since the German company Beurer specializes in health and beauty products, its scales are not just kitchen appliances. The DS61 model allows not only weighing, but also determining the energy and nutritional value of products.

The scale is equipped with a calorie calculator. So, 950 codes of various food products are entered into the memory of the device. For them, automatically (by specifying the desired code value proposed in the instructions) you can determine the amount of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, cholesterol and bread units, as well as the energy value (in kilocalories and kilojoules).

The user can add another 50 codes to the memory of the Beurer DS61 on their own by entering data, for example, from the label of their favorite food product (instant cereals, various dairy products, etc.).

Accurate measurements

The device weighs various foods with a measurement accuracy of up to 1 g. The maximum measurement weight is 5 kg. In addition to the functions familiar to kitchen scales, such as tare compensation and the choice of units of measurement (grams or ounces), a sequential weighing mode is provided with saving data on previous measurements in memory and the possibility of summing up the final result.

There is also an automatic shutdown function after 3 minutes, a warning about overload and the need to replace batteries (uses 3 AAA batteries).

Glass platform and informative display

Beurer DS61 received a glass coating of the working surface. At the bottom of the platform there is a large display, which immediately displays all information about food products (weight and nutritional characteristics). The size of the numbers on the screen is 13 mm, so there are no problems with the readability of indicators in normal lighting conditions.

On both sides of the display are touch control buttons. On the left is a dial for entering the code, and on the right are the power keys, selecting units of measure, resetting tare, saving and deleting values from memory. The buttons are not the most convenient, so due to pressure, errors in the weighing results and data on the nutritional characteristics of the product are possible.

Otherwise, the Beurer DS61 is not just a high-quality kitchen appliance, but also a must-have assistant for diabetics, athletes and those who carefully monitor their diet.
