The maximum torque of the Black&Decker BDCIM18N screwdriver is 155 Nm, and the rotation speed of the chuck reaches 3000 rpm. The locking ball chuck securely holds long bits that have a groove at the base. Next to the start button, which allows you to adjust the rotation speed, there is an LED designed to illuminate the working area while tightening or unscrewing the fastener. The tool is compatible with all batteries from the Black&Decker 18V family. Battery and charger are not included.

Simple Impact Driver for Home Use
If a standard drill-driver is no longer handling tight fasteners, it's worth considering a more powerful option — the Black&Decker BDCIM18N impact driver. This model features a tangential impact mechanism, where the rotation of the chuck is supplemented by frequent impact pulses. This allows the tool to drive screws into dense wood more easily, confidently tighten bolts, and help loosen nuts that are "seized" due to corrosion. With a torque of 155 Nm and high impact frequency, the device effectively works with screws up to 70 – 80 mm long, as well as with medium-sized bolts and nuts. Additionally, the tangential impact reduces strain on the hand, so the tool doesn't require much force and doesn't twist the wrist during use.
Good Tool at an Affordable Price
In terms of design and ease of use, the model has no significant drawbacks. Despite the presence of an impact mechanism and a metal gearbox, the driver remains quite lightweight — it weighs 1 kg without the battery. For a more secure grip, the handle and body, both front and back, feature ribbed soft rubber inserts. The chuck allows for quick changes of accessories: bits, adapters, and socket heads with a hex shank. The trigger button not only turns the device on but also regulates the rotation speed: the harder the trigger is pressed, the faster the fastener is driven. There is an LED under the chuck that illuminates the work area. However, its brightness is not always sufficient, so it's better to use a flashlight when working in dark areas. Any Black&Decker 18V batteries are suitable for powering the device.
It's worth noting that the Black&Decker BDCIM18N is not a professional-grade tool. Like many other devices from the DIY segment, it may overheat under prolonged high loads, as it is designed for a gentler mode of operation. Nevertheless, for household tasks related to repair, assembly, and construction work, this driver is an excellent fit.
