Line Bosch S5 Silver Plus
A series of car batteries with a capacity of 61 to 110 Ah. Models do not require maintenance and remain operational in bad weather and long-term parking of the car. Silver alloying technology avoids the harmful effects of corrosion and, consequently, increases the life of the batteries. It is possible to install the battery in the passenger compartment or boot of the car. For convenient transportation, the model is equipped with a special handle. It is also possible to use on diesel vehicles.

worked for 3 years and finally died, after a full charge in the morning, it no longer starts the 1.8L gasoline engine, only the solenoid clicks, the bendix does not engage. In standby mode, with the car locked and the alarm on, the onboard electronics draw 48mA, the alternator outputs 14.2V at idle, i.e., the onboard electronics are functioning properly. Out of three years of operation, it worked flawlessly for one winter, and then sometimes had to be brought home or to the garage for recharging because in cold temperatures from -15°C to -30°C, it didn’t always manage to start the engine. The car with a normal battery starts in any frost no longer than 3 seconds. After diagnostics, it was found that one cell was sulfated and shorting. design Quickly completely broke down (3 years) after the first year of use, sometimes couldn't start the engine in winter. It worked fine in the summer, but in the outdoors, you can't listen to music with it for more than 2-3 hours. use Bosch S5 Silver Plus month or more i recommend it don't buy |
I bought this unit for a Passat B5 turbodiesel on January 29, 2013, and it worked fine for the first winter. Everything started in November with the first frosts; after parking for 2 days, the car wouldn't start, lacking power to turn the starter. I performed a full CCA test 4 times, determined through charging and discharging that the capacity dropped to 24 Ah after 11 months. Checked the car - self-discharge current no more than 50mA, the alternator even at idle gives out 14.3V. I will be going to return it in the coming days while the warranty is still valid!!! There was S4.74-, S5-85, each worked for less than three years. Works the first one and a half zivs. The following time demands a lot of attention, especially in frosty weather, as it does not hold capacity. At the start of the third winter, it needs replacing. use Bosch S5 Silver Plus month or more i recommend it don't buy |
