great model, love it

Excellent recharge speed (on average 3 seconds, if the maximum distance then up to 5 seconds, depending on when and how you photograph)
Excellent transformation capabilities and most importantly, easy (I mean turns and U-turns and angles...)
Wireless operation in tandem with a radio synchronizer allows for shooting from one angle and lighting from another. (in automatic mode, nothing needs to be connected or reconnected)
The battery lasts for 300+ shots, but again it all depends on your power elements.
Dust and moisture protection, in principle, it's not needed but a bonus)))
half a kilo of weight)) a tangible thing.

Professional tool to work day and day. Worth your money.
21 April 2020
For two years of work has become indispensable for me. First of all, its endurance and functionality. It would seem trifles in the form of the quality of plastic, but no, the plastic is strong, for two years of very active use it has not cracked anywhere, only rubbed in some places. And I dropped it so many times. Large display, with a bunch of information, such as power, exposure, camera settings, bracketing, etc. It is convenient to work, the head turns in all directions, there is a deflector and diffuser. but I still hang up a white business card. Power is redundant, i.e. I have never had problems with its lack. It is quickly controlled, does not freeze, does not think. A tray for 4 AA batteries, which in my opinion is the best solution, because if you forgot the batteries at home, you can buy a pack of batteries. The functionality is rich, in addition to autofocus illumination, I often use it in slave or master mode. There is an optical module. The flash is professional, but heavy. But I put up with it, maybe it gives an excellent result.
Multifunctional, with convenient settings and binding. A deflector and a diffuser are built into the body. Very strong body. It can be both master and slave. Large informative display. The autofocus illuminator is bright and effective.
Minus two is the price and weight. I think the weight could have been reduced. But the price justifies the quality.

The Canon Speedlite 600 EX RT is Canon's first flash with built-in wireless radio sync. And its second generation is one of the fastest solutions in the top-segment flash family, which performs equally well both in the reportage genre of photography and in thoughtful staged shooting.

Wealth of features

Outwardly, the second version of the flash has practically no visual differences from its predecessor. As, however, in terms of the wealth of functions — the model has full TTL support and an advanced remote control system via optical and radio channels, both as a slave and as a master flash. With its help, you can even control entire groups of other flash units with the ability to select the operating mode for each of the bundles separately.

Any conditions

The Canon Speedlite 600 EX II-RT has a guide number of 60, and its light output can range from 20mm wide-angle to 200mm telephoto. Such a wide spread allows you to adjust the light to different shooting conditions, which the flash is very good at doing in automatic mode. In some cases, an additional device also comes to the aid of the photographer — an orange overlay on the flash head, with which it is possible to equalize the colour temperature in the picture when shooting in rooms with warm light sources (for example, incandescent lamps).

Strengths

The list of strengths of the model continues with support for high-speed synchronization, fast and silent recharging, low power consumption, as well as dust and water protection of the case, which allows you to use the flash to the fullest in reportage shooting. Actually, that's why the price tag of the Canon Speedlite 600 EX II-RT cannot boast of being democratic. So if photography is not your main income, it makes sense to look at the Canon Speedlite 430 EX III-RT — at a cost of 1.5-2 times cheaper, it offers most of the functions supported by the older model.
