First of all, let's pay attention to the fact that the power supply was created in the SFX form factor, so this model can only be used in compact system units. Despite its modest dimensions, the device has the power of full-size ATX power supplies. This model is designed to assemble a powerful and performant gaming PC based on a compact system unit. The PSU received several PCIe interfaces, thanks to which the Chieftec Compact CSN-650C is able to power several powerful graphics adapters.
The model belongs to the class of advanced power supplies, as evidenced by the "80 PLUS GOLD" certification and the presence of a modular wire connection. The length of the wiring is at least 450 mm, which will allow you to easily lay wire bundles in a regular cable management system, if it is provided in the "system unit". The wire for powering the motherboard is dressed in a protective nylon braid, the rest of the wiring is represented by neat thin black cables. The PSU uses an 80mm fan, which, unlike coolers, runs almost silently across the entire rev range. This block has a younger modification, which has a maximum power of 550 watts.

Disassembled (voided the warranty) and removed the noisy fan, installed a different one in its place, routed the wires outside and connected them to the motherboard to manually set the desired speed. Now it's not noisy at all and doesn't overheat - tested it by running stress tests for half an hour, then turned it off and touched the heatsinks inside with my hands - not hot. Compactness. Power. Modular cables. Cool even under heavy load. Noisy fan. The motherboard power cable is not black like the others. |
Bought a slim case Node 202. It has an i7 8700k and an overclocked GTX 1080ti. The cooler on the CPU is small, was afraid it would be noisy at 5 GHz. Imagine my surprise when the loudest element in the PC turned out to be this PSU! The noise from this infernal buzzer is about two to three times louder than the noise from the other components. Now I have to either modify it or sell it. Cute, cables are detachable. Noisy! |
It has been working for over 5 years, everything is great. My fan doesn't make noise, it powers an RTX 2060 + i7 Gen 9, the computer runs every day, and I both work and play on it. Ground wires, price Don't know |
