Affordable and reliable power supply with 80+ Gold certification on the CWT platform, constructed using a resonant converter design with DC-DC converters for stable power to mid-range systems. The Core series model belongs to the budget segment with a gold certification and is designed for users seeking a proven solution without overpaying for additional features. The Chieftec Core BBS-700S provides 700 Watts of power with 696 Watts delivered on the main +12V rail, which is sufficient for popular setups with graphics cards like RTX 3060/4060 and Intel i5/Ryzen 5 processors, which are highly favored among gamers and consistently top Steam's popularity charts.
Compliance with the ATX 2.3 standard ensures compatibility with motherboards of all generations, while an efficiency level of 87-90% reduces electricity costs and case heating. The fixed cable system includes all basic connectors: 24-pin for the motherboard, 4+4 pin CPU, 6+2 pin PCIe for the graphics card, and SATA/Molex for storage and peripherals. The 120-millimeter fan with hydrodynamic bearings provides efficient cooling with moderate noise levels.
The CWT hardware platform is known for stable operation and using quality mid-level components. The resonant topology with DC-DC converters maintains stable voltages on all lines even under variable load. The basic protection set includes OVP (over-voltage protection), OPP (over-power protection), and OTP (over-temperature protection), covering essential emergency situations. A two-year warranty aligns with the model's positioning as an affordable yet quality solution. CWT platform stability, 700 Watts power, supports RTX 3060/4060, Intel i5/Ryzen 5, 87-90% efficiency, comprehensive protection, affordable gold-certified option.

The block is chic, I took it for 2k. hryvnia still the hard worker. bought in 2020, the block worked 24/7. since I was mining on 2060 super, the current does not lose the fan, as I did not hear it and I still do not hear it, I’m happy like an elephant. did not reveal any shortcomings, perhaps the party was successful. |
Good bp. Quiet. 700w with a margin. Nice price. 80+ gold But! The power supply cable to the motherboard (the thickest one) is very tight, which is why the computer went out for the first time. But over time, everything passed. Price. Guarantee. Good brand. Quality. Tight power cable for the motherboard. Colorful wires in strange black braiding. |
Got up great. Sheathed wires. > Warranty - available. > The cable lengths are more than enough. > Good schematic. > Good cooler, excellent sound. > 700W with a gold certificate for 2k UAH! Nothing has disappointed so far, I'm confident in him for at least 2 years. |

Available gold
Chieftec Core is one of the most affordable PSU series with 80 PLUS Gold energy efficiency certification. Includes models from 500W to 700W, all with a non-modular design, which is in fact the only savings. Otherwise, these are quite modern PSUs based on the circuitry of CWT, a longtime partner of Chieftec (almost the only exception is Polaris on the High Power platform).
Separate stabilization
It is built on a progressive circuit of separate DC-to-DC stabilization of low-voltage lines +5 and +3.3 volts. However, it is not possible at all to achieve an efficiency of up to 92 percent when using old-school group stabilization (Bronze maximum).
Stable power supply
De jure, a wide input voltage range of 100 – 240 volts is designed for household electrical networks around the world. But de facto, it allows the Chieftec Core to work stably in east european country houses, where the voltage often sags much below normal — from 220 to 170 volts.
Long wires
The non-modular design made it possible to make the Chieftec Core extremely compact by the standards of ATX standard power supplies — only 14 cm in length. The cables, although not removable, are long: for example, the 4 + 4-pin processor power cable, which is traditionally the most problematic for hidden installation in a PC case, has a sufficient 65 cm.
