A high-quality and modern computer power supply with a power of 600 W with an efficiency of around 85% and a basic quality certificate of 80 Plus. It belongs to the entry-level price segment and is the middle model in the Chieftec ECO line, which in addition to it also includes models with a power of 500 and 700 W. According to the manufacturer's idea, this option is the optimal solution for budget-conscious gamers who are not chasing modern circuitry with high efficiency and are not eager to overpay for a bronze or gold quality certificate.

It can also serve as a power source in inexpensive workstations with professional or consumer video cards from NVIDIA. For a typical office PC, its performance may be overkill. Chieftec ECO GPE-600S is built on an inexpensive but at the same time reliable hardware platform with active PFC and traditional circuitry based on the principle of group voltage stabilization. It is not 80 Plus certified, but at 50% load its efficiency is around 85%, which is 80 Plus basic certified.

It is also capable of delivering about 90% of the rated power via the +12V line, ensuring high stability of output voltages and low ripple levels without pronounced high-frequency interference. When operating under wear and tear with a constant load above 90%, the Chieftec ECO can become noticeably hot and noisy, so the manufacturer recommends leaving a small power reserve and installing it in systems with a total power consumption of around 500 W.

In general, this power supply is focused on a fixed voltage of 230V, has a TÜV certificate and meets all current EU quality standards including ES 5.0. The cable subsystem includes an ATX 24-pin (20+4) cable, an EPS/ATX12V 8-pin (4+4) line, a line with two PCIe 8-pin (6+2) connectors for video cards and a pair of garlands with 3x connectors SATA+MOLEX (4-pin). Official warranty - 2 years.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Chieftec ECO ECO series offers a range of power supply units that are praised for their quiet operation, active PFC, and high efficiency. Users appreciate the budget-friendly nature of these units, particularly highlighting the 500W and 700W models. The 500W version is noted for handling low-power configurations well, with potential to support a graphics card. The 700W model delivers stable power with minimal voltage deviation and ripple, making it a reliable choice even for demanding tasks like mining. However, some users mention a strong chemical smell initially and a short processor wire as minor drawbacks. Overall, the Chieftec ECO series is considered a solid and affordable option for those seeking a dependable power supply.

good model, liked it

Took the 500w version for a low-power configuration. At the moment, just a Pentium g4560 and everything else without a graphics card. I think it will handle a graphics card without any problems too. If it's refined to last long, the cost will end up being that of a decent power supply.

High-quality budget power supply from Chieftec.

A good budget power supply from Chieftec.
Power (630W on 12V) delivered, delivered it efficiently: voltage deviation on 12V did not exceed 5%, ripple is within the norm. See the graph.
A solid budget power supply from Chieftec.

P.S. A miner friend actively uses these units, which apparently speaks of reliability.

For your money, a normal solution. I don't regret the purchase.

Works stably, good price.
Price, stability
The first few hours smell strongly of chemicals. A short wire for connecting the processor (had to be pulled between the case wall and the motherboard)
