Large Vestibule

The three-person Coleman tent is positioned as a versatile model with easy and quick setup. The structure is based on three fiberglass poles arranged parallel to each other. The central one creates a maximum height of 115 cm, and the two side ones add more usable space in the sleeping area and the vestibule. The latter is indeed impressive at 150 cm in length, so there's enough room not only for backpacks and gear but also for a small folding table or other camping furniture.

Thanks to the enlarged vestibule, the Coleman Cortes 3 is also suitable for camping use. However, the primary scenarios remain outings in nature, hiking trips, and bike touring. For such activities, the tent has a moderate weight of 4.1 kg and not overly large dimensions in the case—38x19x19 cm, which corresponds to a volume of less than 14 liters.

Attention to Detail

The model is equipped with a polyethylene floor boasting decent strength and good water protection. It helps protect the rest area from dampness and insects, combined with a mosquito net at the entrance. The design also includes ventilation windows and valves, internal organizer pockets, a lantern attachment, as well as fabric protection against ignition and UV exposure.

The dimensions of the sleeping area measure 205x170 cm, meaning the width slightly falls short of the standard 60 cm per person. Therefore, it is more comfortable for three adults of average build to sleep head-to-foot. Another important aspect of the model is the modest water protection of the rainfly. Despite the claimed WeatherTec technology and promises of readiness for any weather, a waterproof rating of 2000 mm is unlikely to be sufficient for heavy rain.
