The soldering iron is very good in terms of quality, but even at the minimum fire point, the temperature of the soldering tip is very high, I tried to solder something several times, it didn’t work out, the solder behaves like mercury on my hands and doesn’t want to stick to copper or board. This is the Rolls Royce in the world of soldering irons. Excellent quality, in terms of materials, threads, tips, and solidity, it's like an iPhone in a steel case. For solid-state soldering, high-temperature solder, it is ideally suited, such boards are found in consumer electronics, I know. The tip is too hot even on the minimum setting. In the soldering tip, the catalyst burns out quickly because there are no instructions on how to cut off the flame. Fortunately, I learned this info at the very beginning of using it, and my tip is fine. For those who have purchased this device, I recommend finding a video on this topic on YouTube. Btw, you can replace the catalyst with tungsten springs from two 300W bulbs. Obviously, you will need to sacrifice the bulbs. As for the soldering iron itself, it is essential for electricians and hobbyists who like to solder things. I recommend refilling only with Newport gas. Other alternatives can clog the nozzle with paraffin, which is fatal for this cutter-soldering iron. It burns brightly for 90 minutes. I recommend testing for gas leaks after purchase by filling it to the brim and leaving it for a week to see if the gas has leaked. I’ve heard it rarely happens, but defects do occur. All in all, it’s a worthy item. If you need a soldering iron in autonomous mode, this is your tool. Autonomy, mobility, quality, reliability. Nozzles are rarely found on sale. use Dremel VersaTip month or more i recommend it should buy |
i am satisfied with the purchase)) I ordered it in the VOSN company store, they delivered it in less than 2 days, the soldering iron is worth the money, the catalyst can also be replaced from nets for smoking pipes, you can buy it in any tobacco store, it costs a penny and it works fine fast heating pleasant work there are not enough nozzles .. but you can order a nozzle for any normal turner and all problems are solved use Dremel VersaTip few months |
