The gas burner provides very high operating temperatures — above 1000 °C. In addition, the tool turns out to be completely independent of outlets, its power (unlike a battery) can be very high, moreover, most models are able to work safely even in the rain. Thanks to this, gas soldering irons are indispensable for outdoor work (for example, soldering an antenna cable on the roof). Their main disadvantage is the additional complexity in use.
