Functional flasher

Debuted in 2020, the Fenix brand flasher is a rechargeable rear bike light with three diodes. The elastic holder allows you to quickly attach it to a bike rack with a diameter of 20 – 35 mm. Also included is a clip that allows you to fix the Fenix BC05R on the chest or on the headband (for jogging), as well as on the backpack (for example, to use as a signaling device while hiking).

4 glow modes

The flasher supports 4 modes of operation, minimum, slow and fast flashes, maximum. In the latter, the brightness of the glow reaches 10 lumens (and in all the rest 2 lm), which will ensure the visibility of light at a distance of up to 200 metres, which is usually enough to ensure safety when driving at night. To turn on the headlight and switch modes, there is one button on the body.

Long battery life

Fenix BC05R is equipped with a built-in 240 mAh battery. A full charge gives from 40 to 72 hours of operation (respectively with slow and fast flashes), and this is enough for at least a month with regular 1.5 – 2 hour trips. However with a constant glow, battery life is reduced to 10 hours in the minimum and 1.8 hours in the maximum mode.

The model provides a charge indicator that reports the current level and warns with a red flash in case of imminent discharge. To replenish the capacity of the battery, a USB type-C port is offered. It will take about 1.5 hours to charge.

Lightweight and protected

The dimensions of the rear bike light are comparable to an AA-type AA battery, and it weighs less than it (19 grams). The enclosure is IP66 rated, so dust, rain, or splashing water from puddles is not a problem.

Fenix BC05R is one of the best cordless flashers in the mid-price segment, which is already in the lead in terms of popularity.
