The Festool TKS 80 SawStop table saw is designed to greatly reduce the risk of serious injury during use. It uses licensed SawStop technology which can detect if the blade comes into contact with the operator - in the event of accidental contact, the blade is designed to immediately eject down into the machine and out of harms way. A cartridge releases a pretensioned spring and pushes an aluminium block into the saw blade. After being triggered, the cartridge is replaced in just a few steps.
