Great Features

The Makita HS6601 circular saw is designed for cutting plywood, wood-based panels, parquet boards, laminate and other lumber. The sawing depth is 54 mm, which is more than enough for typical work in a home workshop or on a construction site. Light weight (3.7 kg) and compact dimensions allow you to cut and saw wood in the workshop or directly on the construction site without the use of stationary equipment.

The Makita HS6601 saw comes with just one universal carbide cutting blade. But it is compatible with all saw blades of the same size (blade diameter 165 mm, bore diameter 20 mm). Cutting wheels of this size are quite common, so it will not be difficult to buy saw blades necessary for working with one or another type of lumber.

User care

Adjusting the sawing depth and angle of the die-cast aluminium base is done manually in just one easy movement. The sole is securely fixed in the desired position with the help of a clamp and a lamb screw.

Parts of the rotating saw blade are covered with a strong and lightweight aluminium casing during operation. To replace the wheel, you can block its rotation by pressing the shaft lock button. The key needed to replace the disc is attached to special recesses on the handle. Therefore, it is difficult to lose it, and it is always at hand.

Both handles (top and front) are covered with an anti-slip elastomer coating. Therefore, they provide a secure grip and allow you to accurately guide the saw along the cut line. The noise level is average, you can work without protective headphones.

Good equipment

Together with the tool, the kit includes: a parallel stop (guide) for precise cutting in a straight line and a plastic pipe for dust removal. With it, you can connect any construction or household vacuum cleaner with a hose diameter of 37 mm to the circular saw.

The Makita HS6601 circular saw comes in a cardboard box, and the exact same model, but marked HS6601J, comes in Macpac's branded plastic Systainer case.
