Fractal Design North XL black (FD-C-NOR1X-01)

Designer Full-Tower case from the Swedish brand, which is an enlarged version of the original North case, released in 2022. The North XL combines an elegant design with premium materials and advanced component mounting options, making it an ideal choice for gamers and PC enthusiasts. A key feature is the wooden grill front panel, made of oak or walnut, which gives the case some flair and is more likely to be compared to premium household appliances than to classic computer components.

In addition to its decorative function, the grill panel makes it easier for hot air to escape outside the body. The top panel features a mesh structure for improved ventilation, the case itself features removable side panels for easy access to components, and a built-in power supply shroud helps hide cables and improves airflow. According to the manufacturer, the North XL case has 36% more capacity than the original North case.

Inside there are two bays for 2.5-inch SSDs behind the motherboard and two additional bays for 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives behind the power supply shroud. The maximum length of the video card is 413 mm, and the height of the processor cooler is 185 mm. The motherboard tray can accommodate E-ATX boards, as well as compatible smaller boards, including ATX and micro-ATX. North XL is equipped with three pre-installed 140 mm Aspect PWM fans on the front panel, with another 6 fans that the user can install independently. Naturally, the case supports the installation of radiators for liquid cooling systems, including larger 420 mm options with three 140 mm coolers.
