The model features an elegant retro design styled after the once-famous FUJICA Single-8 movie camera from 1965, including a characteristic vertical handle for one-handed grip. One of the key features of the camera is its hybrid video recording capability. It's implemented in such a way that the Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo Cinema captures short videos and links them to a QR code, which is printed on the photo.

By pointing a smartphone camera at this code, users can view the original video saved digitally. The camera prints photos in black-and-white. Additionally, the camera body houses a physical Eras dial for switching between 10 preloaded presets that simulate the styles of different eras—from the graininess of the '60s to digital filters of the 2010s. The model also supports wireless connection with mobile devices via Bluetooth, allowing users to send gallery photos for printing. A 1.54-inch TFT screen is provided for viewing captured materials "on the spot." Frames are stored on a microSD card with up to 256 GB capacity.
