Easy installation. TDP at 180W. Automatic speed control. ARGB lighting with Asus Aura Sync support.

An inexpensive low-profile cooler from Gamemax, which belongs to the low-cost segment, but is not much inferior to more expensive tower coolers. It is easy to install, efficient in operation, not too noisy and does not conflict with other components due to the low profile design. Unlike traditional tower COs, in which the heatsink is located perpendicular to the processor, in Gamemax Gamma 300 Rainbow the design resembles a sandwich: the heatsink hangs over the processor, a 120mm fan blows over it, and 5 heat pipes directly contact the processor.

The fan speed can be adjusted from near-silent (800 rpm) to high speed (1900 rpm), which provides an impressive airflow with a power of 58.8 CFM and a pressure of 2.18 mm H2O. The manufacturer claims that the design is capable of dissipating up to 180 W of heat from the processor. Considering that it will most likely be installed in a compact case with limited interior decoration, the Gamma 300 Rainbow Cooling system will be the best choice for entry-level and mid-level builds with a compact motherboard, a small-sized Cube Case, and a mid-range processor with 6 or 8 physical cores. An important advantage of this model compared to other entry-level coolers is a full-fledged addressable ARGB backlight with the ability to synchronize with other components. In particular, the manufacturer claims support for Asus Aura Sync, Gigabyte Fusion and MSi Mystic Light systems.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Gamemax Gamma 300 Rainbow is a low-profile active cooler designed for processors, featuring 5 heat pipes and a maximum TDP of 180W. It is compatible with a wide range of sockets, though it lacks an adapter for AM5. Users appreciate its reasonable price and ARGB lighting with Asus Aura Sync support, but note that the fan can become noisy, especially beyond 1300 RPM, affecting acoustic comfort. The cooler is not recommended for high-temperature processors, as it may struggle to maintain low noise levels. Additionally, the absence of a backplate is a concern for some users. Despite these drawbacks, it is considered suitable for mini-ITX builds with mid-power processors and discrete GPUs.

good model, like it

Not a bad model, but it has a few drawbacks. I don't recommend installing it on hot processors; it can cool them, but after 1300 RPM, it starts to rattle like crazy. The ARGB lighting is 3-pin, and to connect it to an MSI board with 4-pin, you'll need to use a controller; I used Deepcool, but even through Mystic Light, not all modes work properly. For mini-ITX builds with a mid-power processor and a discrete GPU, it's just what you need.
The price, for this type of cooler, is quite reasonable.
Fan, design-wise it's all good, quality-wise it's crap.

There is no adapter on am5. At 7500F at 20% load, it has a temperature of 60°. This is without leaving the acoustic comfort zone. But when the revolutions of the crutilator increase, you want to throw the whole thing in the attic. Bearings on the rotor make noise.

5 heat pipes, which are damn good. It would be better to take an ordinary tower.

Practical role model

The Gamemax Gamma 300 Rainbow is a rather interesting low-profile cooler that could be used as an example for others. It is friendly with almost all popular processor sockets (except for the new LGA 1700), easy to install (simple latches are used instead of bolts), equipped with an efficient PWM fan, effective in solving problems of cooling overheated processors and equipped with an interesting backlight.

Passport TDP ― 180 W

The presence of five heat pipes and a maximum TDP of 180 W makes the Gamemax Gamma 300 Rainbow the optimal solution for quiet cooling (the fan starts at 800 rpm) of younger modern processors - Intel Core i5 and AMD Ryzen 5. Of course, the cooler will cope with more performant six-core processors with a little manual overclocking, however, in this case, the turntable can accelerate to its maximum speed (1800 rpm) and the term “acoustic comfort” will have to be completely forgotten. Well, do not forget that overclocking of multi-threaded six-cores was considered the lot of enthusiasts only 5 years ago, and Cooling system from conditional Noctua with price tags in the region of $ 150-200 were usually used for cooling, so you should not expect miracles from such inexpensive products.

Targeted lighting with Asus Aura Sync support

Compared to other entry-level low-profile cooling systems, the Gamma 300 Rainbow stands out thanks to its backlighting. Moreover, these are not just LEDs that were installed for show, and not even RGB, but a full-fledged addressable backlight with all its goodies, including support for backlight synchronization. However Gamemaxx promises 100% compatibility only with Asus Aura Sync, and you'll be lucky with boards from MSI, Gigabyte and ASRock. Anyway, for a low-cost Cooling system with a price tag of just over $20, this is pretty cool. Also to be commended is the streamlined mounting kit, with a redesigned rear panel and clips that make this "mini-tower" easy to install.
