Model overview based on user reviews
Geotex GTX-R3i 2/16 combines Android TV 11, 4K and HDR10+ support with a compact design and a voice-enabled remote. Users appreciate the clean interface and convenient remote, while noting that high-bitrate video, gamepad connectivity and some software features can be problematic. The customized interface lacks Chromecast by default, and HDMI CEC control is limited.
Pros
Cons
when turned on, only the LED was on. i didn't catch it))) all |
- Pure Android TV with a user-friendly interface, which is a rarity these days, because new consoles already come with Google TV, which is neither convenient nor beautiful, and it’s not very easy to customize - Nice minimalistic remote control with voice search without unnecessary buttons - Good set of batteries - Ukrainian company, with support and warranty - Attractive price - Android TV, despite all its advantages, is customized in this console with the following nuances: - Changed the animation settings for transitions in the menu and on the home screen. I can assume that the developers' goal was to make the interface "faster", but in practice the animation is more jittery - There is no Chromecast by default (streaming video from a smartphone), for this you need to install separate programs like AirScreen - If you use Netflix, check for compatibility with Geotex support. I didn't have time to test it, but usually where there is no Chromecast out of the box, Netflix may not work there either. - Frequent problems with connecting gamepads (both Sony and Xbox). Sometimes I get stuck in cloud gaming, at some point the gamepads simply stop being recognized in applications. Reconnecting does not solve the problem - The processor, although it supports the AV1 codec, is not very powerful in itself and sometimes does not extract high-bitrate video files or online broadcasts. If you don't use cloud gaming or streaming very large files, you can ignore this, popular online services work without any problems - The remote doesn't have full HDMI CEC settings. It only turns on/off and adjusts the volume of the set-top box itself, it can't control the TV |
