The trekking tent from the Grand Canyon brand is a mid-budget solution for hiking or cycling trips, as well as kayaking. The model belongs to the single-person category, but since the maximum width of the sleeping area reaches 120 cm, it can accommodate two people with an acceptable level of comfort if necessary. The Grand Canyon Apex 1 tent has one entrance and a small vestibule of 40 cm in length — it's stated that this space is sufficient to store wet clothes and/or dirty shoes.

The inner layer consists of a mesh breathable material, which, along with the inner frame, allows you to use it without the outer tent and enjoy the starry sky on a clear, warm night. The model includes fiberglass poles with a thickness of 8 mm, is equipped with steel pegs but generally allows for setup without them, which can be very useful in mountainous terrain or on very hard ground. The outer tent is made of polyester with a polyurethane coating, providing moderate water resistance at the level of 3000 mm of water column. The polyethylene floor offers slightly improved waterproofing of 4000 mm. Other features of the model include an average weight of 2.35 kg, reflective guy lines visible in the dark, a mosquito net, and a loop (hook) for a lantern.
