In the Grand Canyon brand lineup, the single-person trekking tent is positioned as the lightest one (weighing 1.7 kg). It features compact dimensions when packed (28x13x13 cm, which translates to a volume of less than 5 liters) and does not require much free space to set up for an overnight stay in nature (floor dimensions are 270x180 cm). The model is recommended for hiking and trekking.

The Grand Canyon Richmond 1 tent boasts good wind resistance, which is attributed not only to the reliable frame made of two 8 mm fiberglass poles but also to the small maximum height of the assembled structure (no more than 75 cm). The sleeping area dimensions are 250x90 cm, with the widest part at the shoulders and a tapering to 60 cm at the feet. A small vestibule 45 cm in length is provided for storing a backpack and outerwear.

The inner layer of the model is made of breathable mesh, which, among other things, provides good ventilation and allows use without an outer flysheet in warm weather — to enjoy the starlit sky. The outer material is polyester, enhanced with a polyurethane coating that offers decent water resistance rated at 3000 mm water column (the water protection of the polyethylene floor is slightly higher at 4000 mm). Other features include reflective guy lines, ventilation elements, and a standard mosquito net.
