HP has seriously thought about how the perfect modern laptop should look like. As a result, they have an extremely interesting transformer in the surprisingly thin and light body of the HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2.

Inside the miniature case, we will see a four-thread Core i5 processor of the Intel Kaby Lake family (operating frequencies 2.5 GHz — 3.1 GHz), integrated Intel HD 620 graphics, 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a fast 256 GB NVMe SSD. And if a graphics card in a business laptop is not really needed, then the rest of the hardware could be more powerful. Especially considering the $2,000 price tag.

If you look at the filling in terms of rivalry with ultrabooks, and not standard 15-inch models, then the filling is quite decent. As a bonus to this, the user receives a completely silent cooling system, which reminds of its existence only when starting games.

Modern equipment and acoustics from Bang & Olufsen

The transformer is equipped with all the necessary ports and connectors: a pair of USB 3.1, one USB-C with Thunderbolt support, HDMI, a card reader and a slot for reading smart cards. Other goodies include Bang & Olufsen branded acoustics, a spill-resistant keyboard, and a full security package that includes a fingerprint scanner, a face scanner, a kensington lock, and a TPM security module.

16 hours on a single charge!

The strengths of this transformer are impressive battery life and support for fast charging. According to the passport, HP promises up to 16.5 hours of work, but this is more likely in laboratory conditions. In reality, it turns out a little less — 11 – 12 hours.
