Transformer 360°

— laptops capable of opening to full 360° so that the bottom half is again close to the top, but on the opposite side of the screen. In this position, the device actually turns into tablet — especially since the screens in transformers are made only touch.

Similar laptops are in many ways similar to 2 in 1 models (see the relevant paragraph), but in this case the keyboard is non-removable. This, on the one hand, does not make it possible to lighten the device by removing the lower half; on the other hand, it gives number of advantages over laptops and tablets. For example, the user does not need to look for place for detached keyboard and worry about not forgetting it somewhere. The transformer can be placed as “hut”, the screen is towards the user and the keyboard is away from him; this is useful in some situations, such as when drawing with stylus or watching video. In addition, in such devices, the main part of the “hardware” can be placed in the lower half of the case, and the upper one can be allocated only for the screen. This simplifies the use of powerful components, and also contributes to stability in most positions (whereas in 2-in-1 models, significant part of the weight is on the upper, “flat” part of the structure, and in some models it even has to be equipped with an additional stand during rollover avoidance).
