Updated version of the popular mid-class portable station with a focus on compactness and durability. According to the manufacturer, this is the lightest and most compact model in the 0.5 kWh category — 27% less than market averages and weighing only 5.7 kg, making it possible to carry with one hand. The lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 512 Wh is rated for an impressive 6,000 cycles at a 70% depth of discharge, ensuring an estimated lifespan of up to 30 years with charging every other day.

Output power is 500 W in normal mode with short bursts up to 1,000 W. The CTB (Cell-to-Body) technology, borrowed from the electric vehicle industry, integrates battery cells into the base of the chassis, enhancing spatial efficiency by 18% compared to the older version of the Explorer 500. The Jackery Explorer 500 v2 comes with two pure sine wave outlets, a pair of USB Type-C (30 W and 100 W), a fast USB-A at 18 W, and a car cigarette lighter.

Charging to 100% from the household mains takes 78 minutes, from 200 W solar panels takes about 204 minutes, and combined mode (mains plus solar) reduces the time to an hour. The intelligent system prioritizes solar energy when both sources are connected. The uninterruptible power mode kicks in in less than 10 ms with protection against voltage spikes up to 3,000 V. The power-saving mode automatically switches off inactive outputs after 6 hours of low load. Noise level during discharge is just 28 dB, and 36 dB during charging. The built-in LED light has an SOS mode for emergencies.
