Eight slots for 3.5-inch drives in a case barely larger than a shoebox is the main reason to pay attention to this model. The Desktop format with dimensions of 262x233x298 mm and a weight of 3.9 kg is designed for compact network storage and servers based on mini-ITX, rather than gaming builds. The motherboard is placed horizontally, and the drive cages occupy the main internal space—this layout allowed for eight 3.5" drives and one 2.5" drive in a case that easily fits on a shelf or hides in a niche.

The Jonsbo N3 Black case also offers the possibility to install a vertical graphics card up to 250 mm in length, suitable for low-profile or compact models. The CPU cooler height is limited to 130 mm, and the power supply is SFX format up to 105 mm long, so components have to be chosen carefully. Cooling is provided by four slots for non-standard size fans—two 80-mm at the back and two 100-mm at the bottom; fans are not included. Walls 1 mm thick give the structure good rigidity for this size. The front panel features a USB 3.2 gen1 port and USB-C 3.2 gen2, which is convenient for quick connection of external storage devices.
