Powerful 250GB internal M.2 SSD with fast PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 interface and NVMe 1.3 protocol support. Made in the form of a frameless device form factor 2280, compatible with any motherboard equipped with M.2 Socket 3 (M key). It is positioned as a product of the middle price category, designed for personal computers, mini PCs and HTPC systems. It can be used to equip stationary / mobile workstations of the level that are demanding in terms of access time and speed of disk operations, but do not require server functions. The hardware basis of this model is an efficient 8-channel Silicom Motion SM2262NE controller with a 256 MB DRAM buffer based on DDR3 memory. Toshiba's 96-layer BiCS4 3D TLC NAND flash memory has improved wear resistance. The Kingston KC2000 M.2 SKC2000M8/250G SSD supports hi...gh-speed SLC write caching and shows impressive read/write speeds of 3000/1100 Mbps. Such characteristics are quite enough for impressively fast loading of the operating system, browsers with many open / cached tabs, resource-intensive professional applications and actual games. The manufacturer declares a recording resource of 150 TB. This allows for 10 years to record more than 40 GB of data daily, which is enough for the vast majority of tasks.

2 years, all systems go. Bitlocker is cool
28 March 2021
The speed is alright, there are SED features. It was in a computer for a year, then I moved it to a laptop because I urgently needed to enhance security. I didn't want to use software like Bitlocker, and it took me 4 tries to finally use the built-in encryption on the drive. The speed wasn't affected, the encryption doesn't load the CPU, the SSD handles everything. And that's great.
SED, reliable
Two months after the purchase, the cooler KC2500 models appeared.
