Music quest: How to choose speaker system and not missKey criteria for choosing speaker system: what you need to know to buy best speakers for your requirements
Video reviews

In 2015, the American company Klipsch released a new line of acoustics Klipsch Reference Premiere, which closed all positions in home theater and stood out with a Tractrix tweeter with a titanium dome and branded copper speakers with ceramic coating. Given the success of the system, music fans demanded equality from the brand. The answer to their requests is the Klipsch R-41PM kit, which both visually and technically looks like a rethinking of the RP-400M.

The R-41PM is a compact system with classic Klipsch design for a small room. This is evidenced by modest dimensions, small diffusers and an amplifier whose total power is only 70 watts. All electronics are hidden in one speaker, while the second one is connected to the first speaker cable and acts as a slave. Both speakers are equipped with speakers with 4-inch cones. For those to whom this will not be enough (we are among them), there is a Klipsch R-51PM kit with 5-inch speakers. In other cases, the situation is slightly leveled by the built-in low-frequency equalizer, which is proudly called Dynamic Bass EQ here. By the way, the speakers themselves are made of die-cast graphite instead of the traditional ceramic coating.

And it was all the more interesting to understand how interesting they sound and whether they can surpass the original Reference Premiere? Perhaps a suitable epithet would be clarity and structure. The entire spectrum transmits maximum information without merging into mush even at high volume. Such articulation, coupled with an unusually powerful bass for such sizes, creates a feeling of briskness and cheerfulness. They are really good at energetic music with pressure and dynamics. The built-in phono stage and a whole bunch of inputs for connecting any equipment deserve special praise: Bluetooth with aptX, analogue 3.5 inputs, RCA, optics and USB-B.
