KRK has refined the Rokit series and with the fifth generation coming in 2024, the model has acquired a more mature and professional sound. The fifth generation includes an updated tweeter and integrated DSP technology that offers three unique sound modes: Mix, Create and Focus. Mix mode is designed for mixing and mastering, providing a smooth response in frequency and phase. Create emphasizes the bass and high frequencies, adding brightness and impact to your music. Focus emphasizes the midrange, which helps to identify problems in the recording of instruments and critically evaluate the mix.
DSP and 25 EQ presets for room customization
The KRK Rokit 5 G5 is a two-way monitor with a 5-inch Kevlar cone and a 1-inch silk tweeter. The built-in 55-watt Class D amplifier delivers excellent sound, and the front-mounted bass reflex port allows the Rokit 5 G5 to be placed close to a wall without fear of distorting low frequencies. The monitor supports 25 EQ combinations for precise adjustment to the acoustics of the room, which helps minimize distortion in unprepared rooms. All settings are accessible via the LCD screen on the rear panel or in the KRK mobile app.
Signature Bass
The Rokit 5 G5 delivers a balanced sound with crisp highs and the KRK signature tight bass. However, the 5-inch driver is limited in bass depth (lower threshold is 54 Hz), and the model does not produce sub-bass like the larger Rokit 7 G5 and Rokit 8 G5. Otherwise, this model is ideal for small studios and general home use. A pair of Rokit 5 G5 also does a good job as speakers for a gaming system.
