The TV set of the successful Korean brand LG is one of the best-selling FullHD models on the market. It was released in 2017 and is positioned as the entry model with Smart TV support.
The LG 43LJ594V has a nice design and offers easy access to interface connectors. The wide spacing of the legs gives the panel good stability, but it will also require an appropriate length cabinet for installation.
Image enhancement and excellent visibility
The TV is equipped with a 43-inch matrix with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It provides acceptable pixel density and high image detail. The picture of less high definition, including 480p, is software enhanced using the Resolution Upscaler function.
The image on the LG 43LJ594V does not lose quality even at large viewing angles, which makes the model a good choice for group watching movies or sports broadcasts.
The overall colour quality and low factory-calibrated contrast ratio are in line with the panel's entry level, with blacks looking more grey in a dark room. But a weak level of brightness can become a problem with an abundance of light: the colour scheme of the picture sometimes looks dull.
"Smart" features
LG 43LJ594V is based on proprietary webOS 3.5 platform. It is quite responsive and fast, has an intuitive interface and offers users a good selection of applications. Even despite the absence of the popular Magic Remote, usually, there are no difficulties in controlling Smart TV. The TV is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or LAN-wire.
Other features of the model include the presence of three digital tuners: terrestrial, cable and satellite, 2 HDMI ports and one USB, Miracast support (for transferring video to a TV from mobile devices). The disadvantage of the LG 43LJ594V is the low sound power of the 2-channel audio system: it is 10 watts, while the main competitors offer 20-watt speakers.
Otherwise, given the low cost, the TV will suit a wide audience of users to watch both TV channels and content from various online services.
