The 2018 TV set from the South Korean company is at the intersection of the entry-level and mid-range models. But the growing demand for Ultra HD 4K still leaves the LG 43LK6200 in the lower 1080p segment.
Nice appearance
The model received a silver frame around the 43-inch display. The TV is supported by a stylish C-shaped stand. On the back side there is a monolithic plastic cover with a pair of rectangular recesses for interface connectors. As a result, the case looks neat and attractive.
Quality Image
The LG 43LK6200 reproduces a FullHD picture with natural colour reproduction without quality loss when changing viewing angles. HDR content looks even more impressive and realistic (thanks to support for two high dynamic range formats — HDR10 Pro and HLG Pro). Low-quality video also looks good, as it is scaled using the Upscaler function.
If unconvincing contrast and problematic blacks can be attributed to the shortcomings characteristic of most entry-level TVs, then the low level of brightness is a minus of the model. With good lighting indoors, the picture looks rather faded in comparison with the capabilities of competitors.
Extensive multimedia potential
The TV is running the webOS 3.5 platform. It is distinguished by simplicity and intuitiveness, high speed of response to user commands, and a variety of available services. The proprietary Magic Remote that supports the pointer function helps in managing Smart TV. With it, menu navigation, searching for videos or applications is greatly simplified.
In addition to 3 HDMI, a pair of USB ports, Wi-Fi module LG 43LK6200 is equipped with Bluetooth. With it, you can connect wireless devices to the TV, such as a mouse, keyboard or acoustics (although two built-in 20 W speakers are usually enough for basic needs). Also, the panel is capable of playing any digital television formats: terrestrial, cable and satellite.
Among Full HD TVs, there are analogues cheaper than the LG 43LK6200. But this model offers an exclusive set of features, including a proprietary OS and remote control, which is worth considering when making a decision.
