Powerful machine for serious work
The expensive Makita RP2300FCX router is suitable for both home use and large production workshops. A powerful 2300 W gearbox is able to work with large panel cutters. Depending on the density of the wooden mass to be processed, the unit body has a six-position adjusting wheel that changes the rotational speed from 9000 to 22000 rpm. You can also adjust the speed by strong / weak pressing the start button. Makita RP2300FCX mills up to 3.5 hours continuously without overheating the gearbox.
High precision milling depth
The main feature of this model is a large milling depth of 70 mm, which allows you to tie-in overall locks and carry out deep cuts in the workpiece. To achieve high accuracy of setting the stroke of the cutter, you can use the adjusting screw located on the depth gauge. For step-by-step and better selection of material, the depth gauge is equipped with a 4-step depth stop. The downside in the design is the presence of only one linear bearing in one of the guides, while the other has a plastic bushing, the durability of which is much less than a metal one. Also missing is a case in which to carry the unit.
Comfort during milling
Ease of use is provided by rubberized ergonomic handles, as well as a start button blocker. It will ensure the operation of the router without the need to constantly press on the "gas". The starting current limiter makes the router start smoothly, and also saves the power grid from a sharp current surge. The thick sole is made of die-cast aluminium and has the ability to install a copy sleeve. However, it also makes the router quite heavy — 6.1 kg. Among other things, the Makita RP2300FCX router works with collets from 6 to 12 mm, as well as with several types of stops (parallel, cam). For a high-quality overview of the milling area, a constant LED backlight and a transparent limiter are responsible. The latter also protects the eyes from sawdust.
