Monitor Audio Bronze FX

The speaker systems of the British company Monitor Audio Bronze are among the most popular in the Hi-Fi class in the world. In fact, these are low-cost-class acoustics, but offering full-fledged Hi-Fi sound. The Audio Bronze FX rear speakers, priced at around $500, will serve faithfully as part of a home theater system for many years to come.

Execution

The set consists of 2 cabinets measuring 27.4x27.6x10.5 cm each. Compact products are easily and quickly mounted on a side or rear wall. The closed cabinet is made of MDF and lined with woodgrain vinyl in white, black or brown. Ceramic-coated aluminium-magnesium alloy diffusers are protected by colour-matched fabric grills.

In the centre there is 1 midrange / woofer with a diameter of 140 mm, and on the beveled sides there are high-frequency 25 mm tweeters. The rear panel has two gold-plated connectors, next to it is a directivity switch that changes the radiation mode from bipolar to dipole and vice versa.

Sound features

Together with the front satellites and the Bronze FX subwoofer, it creates the effect of complete immersion in the sound stage. The sound is implemented in the frequency range of 65 – 30,000 Hz, with a sensitivity of 88 dB, the maximum power of the amplifier is 80 W per channel. Such parameters make it possible to fully use the home theater system in rooms up to 20 m².

Bronze FX are perfect for a floor-standing pair of Bronze 6 front speakers or Bronze 2 bookshelf speakers, and a good subwoofer doesn’t hurt either. However such an assembly 7.1 will fly in. for a pretty penny, but it will bring pleasure for a million.
