Centuries-old tradition of Scandinavian knives

Scandinavian knife manufacturer Morakniv is known worldwide for its ergonomic outdoor tools with excellent cutting properties. The quality of Mora knives is confirmed by official permission to use the image of the Swedish royal coat of arms and the national flag on the products. For more than a century, all of the company's products have been made by experienced knifemakers in the village of Ostnor, which is located in the suburbs of Mora in the province of Dalarna. The main factor that ensures the high quality of Morakniv knives is the special heat treatment technology of the blades, which is kept in the strictest confidence.

float knife

The Mora Floating Knife Serrated floating clumsy fishing knife stands out from the background of classmates with non-standard design solutions. As a material for the handle in the model, a cork tree without any coating was used, which does not allow an accidentally dropped knife to drown in a pond. In fact, this is a light float knife, the upper end of the handle of which will always protrude several centimeters above the edge of the water surface. The flat pad of the stop, which reliably protects the fingers from cuts, the end of the handle and the cover are made of a polymer in a conspicuous orange colour. It should be noted that the product retains its floating properties, even being in a case, turning the knife into a bright "buoy" that cannot be overlooked.

Blade with a blunt end

Another characteristic feature of the knife is the blade made of solid stainless steel Sandvik 12C27 (57 – 58 HRC) with a length of 96 mm. The blade of the blade is only 1.4 mm thick, has a blunt end that prevents accidental piercing of the inflatable rubber boat, and a combined cutting edge with semi-serrated sharpening. The net weight of the knife is only 49 g, and together with the sheath — 83 g. The blade sits tightly in the sheath, and a reliable cast clip allows you to mount the sheath in various positions. To prevent moisture from accumulating in the case, a drainage hole is provided in the bottom part for draining water. The model with a total length of 235 mm fits comfortably even in a large hand due to the large handle.
