Just pleasing to the eye
Introduced in the summer of 2022, MSI's 27-inch monitor joins the Optix gaming lineup. It is one of the junior models in the series, supports a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels and is positioned as a safe solution for the eyes, which is confirmed by TÜV Rheinland certification.
MSI Optix G273 is based on an IPS-matrix, which, in addition to traditionally wide viewing angles, is notable for successful factory calibration and accurate color reproduction even without additional user settings. Also praiseworthy is the color gamut (131% of sRGB space), which is one of the best in this price segment. Therefore, the monitor is suitable for viewing various content and even creating or editing it (at an amateur level).
Cool gameplay
The monitor is also intended for games, as evidenced by its minimum response time (1 ms MRPT), and the screen refresh rate can reach 165 Hz (when connected to a PC via DisplayPort v 1.2, and the scan is limited to 144 Hz via HDMI). In addition, NVIDIA G-Sync technology is supported to eliminate frame tearing in dynamic game scenes. Another gaming option is the Night Vision function, which makes fine details in dark areas of the picture more noticeable.
By modern standards, the ergonomics of the model is rather weak, because the stand allows you to change only the tilt of the display. But it has a fairly neat, but stable leg. In any case, the MSI Optix G273 can be safely recommended to gamers who want a good monitor without overpaying, especially if they have a PC with an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card.
