![]() |
A gaming-oriented model designed for competitive first-person shooters, first-person RPG/MMORPG, and flight/racing sims. At least, that’s what the monitor’s manufacturer says. Its gaming pedigree is revealed by a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz, backed by a fast response time—starting from 0.5 ms when switching from gray to gray. As a display, the MSI MAG 274QF X24 is equipped with a 27-inch Rapid IPS panel with the familiar Full HD (1920×1080) resolution.
The panel offers an 8-bit + FRC color depth; the maximum backlight brightness is about 250 cd/m² (i.e., full HDR support is not provided). The screen is quite good in terms of color accuracy—coverage is rated at 130% sRGB and roughly 93% Adobe RGB. The model supports AMD FreeSync Premium, includes Night Vision and AI Vision picture-enhancement modes, and comes with a basic stand with tilt (up-down) adjustment. For connectivity, the monitor provides one DisplayPort v1.4 and a pair of HDMI v2.0 ports.

Smooth Dynamics
The MSI MAG 274QF X24 monitor is designed for maximum immersion in virtual worlds and to enhance gaming efficiency. It features a 27-inch 8-bit Rapid IPS display with outstanding technical specifications. The refresh rate reaches 240Hz when connected via DisplayPort (144Hz when using HDMI), the response time is reduced to 0.5 ms, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium technology ensures smooth playback of dynamic scenes without artifacts and delays. These parameters are especially important for fans of shooters, racing simulators, and real-time strategies.
The resolution of the widescreen 16:9 display is 2560×1440 pixels (WQHD), providing high image clarity. Thanks to FRC technology, the palette covers 1.07 billion shades, and the color space coverage reaches 96% DCI-P3 and 130% sRGB — an impressive result for a gaming monitor. HDR support adds realism, helping to convey the smallest details of objects, shadows, and textures. AI Vision technology intelligently adapts the picture, improving the visibility of dark scenes — something especially appreciated by fans of horror and atmospheric games.
Comfortable Solutions
The monitor's design features a frameless style, visually expanding the space and allowing convenient use of the device in multi-screen configurations. The stand supports tilt adjustment from -5° to +20°, but does not have height adjustment, which can be a downside if there is no adjustable table. Technologies like Anti-Flicker and Less Blue Light are used to protect your eyes during long gaming sessions, reducing fatigue and eye strain.
The device's arsenal includes gaming features such as a crosshair, timer, FPS counter, as well as support for PBP (picture-by-picture) and PIP (picture-in-picture) modes. The only serious drawback can be considered the high price, justified by the premium level of performance and functionality.
