For games, movies and graphics
The main feature of the 27-inch MSI Optix MAG271C monitor is a curved matrix with an increased screen refresh rate of 144 Hz and, conversely, a reduced response time of 1 ms. The matrix boasts an extended colour gamut — 90% according to the DCI-P3 standard or 115% sRGB, which allows the monitor to display a more "juicy" picture in games and movies. Well, for working with graphics and photographs, it is quite suitable.
FreeSync and black stabilizer
Support for FreeSync technology further contributes to comfortable gaming. It synchronizes the frame rate in games with the screen refresh rate and thus completely eliminates image tearing. In addition, interesting gaming technologies are used: a black stabilizer brightens dark areas in games in order to better see lurking enemies, and a custom crosshair that will display crosshairs directly on the monitor screen, regardless of the game. This is useful, for example, in the multiplayer shooter Counter-Strike when firing rifles without a scope.
The perfect gaming monitor?
Pleasant bonuses of MSI Optix MAG271C are an ultra-thin bezel around the screen, a built-in USB hub, the MSI Remote Display mobile application for quick display adjustment (you can create separate profiles for different games) and a large, stable and comfortable monitor leg that allows you to adjust the angle of inclination. Considering all of the above, the price of $320 for all this goodness looks more than justified. And even small nuances like a flimsy headphone holder or unsuccessful factory colour profiles do not really spoil the impression. The holder can be considered as a bonus, and the colour profiles are reconfigured for themselves in a couple of days.
