Switched from an ancient FHD monitor with a TN panel and 5ms. You can immediately feel the 200 Hz, ultra-smoothness. There's no mention of G-Sync on the box or the monitor itself, but it is officially approved by NVIDIA as G-Sync Compatible and works flawlessly. The brightness, according to the numbers, seems unremarkable (300 cd/m²), but in reality, it is very bright, didn't even need to turn it all the way up. The panel is of high quality, without dead pixels or spots. 29.5 inches is just right for UWFHD, with pixel size exactly the same as a 24-inch FHD; 34 inches would be overkill. UWQHD for gaming would also be overkill, because no PC can handle modern games in that resolution at 200 fps, and 60 fps is not gaming anymore (although to each their own). There is an option to connect it to a PC via USB and manage all monitor settings through special software. Very convenient. There is an overlay crosshair. Not curved. Horse-like trails even at maximum overdrive (which, by the way, gives acceptable overshoot). Maybe that's how it’s supposed to be; perhaps LCD panels, in principle, cannot be completely free of trails. However, I have nothing to compare it with, as I haven't had the chance to see how it looks on professional esports monitors with 240Hz and 1ms. It's definitely better than my old monitor (60Hz and 5ms) and better than my work LG27GN850 (144Hz and 1ms), but it's worse than I expected after watching enthusiastic reviews on YouTube. The UFO test looks decent, but in practice, trails are visible. In any case, returning to the beginning of the review - you don't have other options for UWFHD. The alternatives are even worse - overclocked VA panel and 4ms. I can only imagine the mess with trails there. I considered GtG delays. I don't take MPRT into account at all, as no one in their right mind would use it continuously. I think this technology was created solely for marketing purposes. |

200Hz makes a big difference. The quality, enjoyment, and effectiveness of online gaming (Apex, Warzone) have increased significantly. Previously, I would just shoot at the outline of an opponent, but now I can consciously aim for the head. Plus, the increased viewing angles from 90 to 104 provide more information around and enhance the level of immersion. However, your rig should be good enough to deliver FPS close to 200, my RTX 3070 handles it.
