A solid full-size gaming keyboard with durable mechanical switches, a durable Skeleton plastic-metal case, Mystic Light RGB LED backlighting and the function of registering complex multi-button combinations (N-key roll over) without fictitious operations. It is positioned as a product of the upper price category, designed for demanding gamers. Suitable for beginners and experienced esportsmen.
The key feature of the MSI Vigor GK50 Elite keyboard is Kailh's quality mechanical switches, providing ultra-fast response with minimal latency, amazing durability (at least 80 million clicks) and balanced actuation force (45g actuation force and 55g tactile resistance). Also worth noting is the flawless stabilization of both regular and long buttons. Keycaps are made of ABS plastic painted on the outside.
The keyboard has individual RGB backlighting for all keys and lock indicators. It is easy to set up even without software. LEDs show all colours well (except white, which fades into blue). Latin and Cyrillic engraving is easy to read both in the light and in the dark. This model does not have built-in memory for remapping keys, but remembers the backlight settings. All lighting and multimedia control functions are called up by a combination of certain keys with the Fn button, marked with a dragon logo.

Compact keyboard from MSI with unusual white switches
MSI Vigor GK50 Elite looks like a simple, high-quality and slightly old-school mechanical keyboard with a slightly unusual set of qualities. Firstly, its body turned out to be unusually compact thanks to the side frames cut to zero. This creates the impression that the keys literally hang over the table. The second nuance concerns experimentation with unfamiliar white Kailh switches, which combine a rare range of features: tactile feedback, dry and loud double-click sound, and linear travel. They are noisy, be healthy, but they are very comfortable and easy to press. If you close your eyes to the volume, then working for them is a pleasure.
Individual key illumination
Compared to previous Vigor models, there is finally a normal RGB backlight with individual LEDs for each key and customization options like those of competitors. I liked that in addition to the keyboard, the package includes a pair of interchangeable caps "Ctrl" and "Alt". Unlike other caps, they are not concave, but convex, which makes them more noticeable blindly. It is a pity that there is no second kit for WASD. But the corporate command centre MSI Dragon Centre is just as bulky and inconvenient. However, the keyboard works fine without it, especially if macro recording is not required. You can control the backlight directly from the keyboard using a dedicated function button with a dragon image.
Rugged metal housing
But with the mechanical part of the full order. The upper part of the body is made of a solid steel plate, which adds rigidity to the structure. The bottom is made of plastic. The build quality is excellent. Feelings during the game and work are purely positive: the switches are really comfortable, and the keyboard itself reliably adheres to the surface and does not fidget. Well, except that octagonal keycaps feel unusual under the fingertips, but this is a matter of habit, which will not take more than a couple of days.
